Our Story

Having started out in the Door and Window industry in the 1980’s Mark Agnew established Amdoor in 1998 while operating out of his garage at home in Lakeside, Cape Town. Early Amdoor deliveries were done with doors and windows hanging out of the back of or on the roof of Mark’s VW Jetta. In 2000 Mark’s brother Kevin joined the business as we moved into manufacturing.

Over the years we have developed a strong sales, production and admin team at Amdoor including some of the original staff who have been there from the outset. We have factories in Retreat and Capricorn Park in Muizenberg where we manufacture a wide range of standard and made to order wooden, steel and aluminium doors and windows together with related products. Our product ranges include Flush doors, Fire Doors, Solid Wooden Doors and Windows, Fire Doors, Steel Door Frames, Aluminium Doors and Windows.

Products are manufactured using traditional tried and tested methods while incorporating modern technology in manufacture to ensure accuracy and quality of products.
